To enroll in the M.Tech programme at the Vishwakarma Institute of Information & Technology in Pune. For both international and Indian students, there are various requirements. In order to be eligible for admission to the M.Tech programme at VIIT, a candidate must have completed a relevant bachelor's degree with 50% (45% for members of backward classes and Maharashtra PWDs) or higher. The candidate must take the IIT-conducted GATE exam and receive a non-zero score. For the sponsored candidate, the requirement is that the candidate have at least two years of experience in a government department or registered firm in the relevant field for which admission is being sought. 

VIIT Pune offers a 4 years B.Tech. in Computer Engineering course at the UG level. VIIT Pune B.Tech. in Computer Engineering admission is based on entry requirements - 45.0% in 12th. The total tuition fee for this course is INR 619128 for entire duration of the course. Apart from the tuition fee, students are also required to pay hostel fee of INR 505000.Thus the total fee is of 11.25 lakhs. The course offers admission to 240 students.

Candidate must have passed / appearing 10+2 or HSC or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies and obtained at least mentioned marks in the above subjects taken together, from a recognised board. The mentioned OBC, SC, ST percentage is only applicable to candidates belonging to Maharashtra state.

Admission is through CAP counseling based on the rank obtained in JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Mains - (for All India Candidature Candidates, Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature Candidates only)/ MHCET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) For NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National candidates, admission is through marks obtained in 10+2.
