Candidates planning to teach Classes 1 to 5 need to qualify UPTET Paper 1. Candidates planning to teach Classes 6 to 8 need to qualify for UPTET Paper 2. Candidates planning to teach Classes 1 to 8 need to qualify both papers. The candidates have to apply for the papers according to their eligibility set by the board. The educational qualification criteria has been given below for the candidates:

• Paper 1 
  • Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education
  • Class 12 with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd)
• Paper 2
  • Graduation with a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education. Graduation with minimum 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in one-year BEd.

The National Institute of Design (NID) does not provide a specific syllabus for either the DAT Prelims or DAT Mains exams. Instead, the institute offers sample question papers for the B.Des and M.Des programs, enabling candidates to familiarize themselves with the question types, covered topics, and weightage. Utilizing previous years' NID DAT question papers serves as an additional resource for preparation. The initial phase of the NID DAT 2024 exam is DAT Prelims, encompassing color terminology, principles of composition, design theory, lettering, optical illusion, picture analysis, theme development, and more for both B.Des and M.Des programs. Successful candidates in DAT Prelims proceed to the DAT Mains exam. For B.Des, this stage involves a Studio Test, while M.Des applicants undergo both a Studio Test and a Personal Interview, the latter being conducted online, in contrast to the offline mode of the Studio Test for both programs.

UPTET (Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test) exam consists of two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Each paper has 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with four options and a single correct answer. The total marks for both papers are 150, with each question carrying one mark. The distribution of questions and marks in each paper is as follows: - Paper 1: The 150 MCQs are divided into five sections, with 30 questions in each section. The sections are Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1 (Hindi), Language 2 (English/Urdu/Sanskrit), Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. - Paper 2: The 150 MCQs are divided into five sections, with 30 questions in each section. The sections are Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1 (Hindi), Language 2 (English/Urdu/Sanskrit), Mathematics and Science, and Social Studies/Social Science. It is important to note that each question carries equal weightage, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. Candidates must score a minimum of 60% marks to qualify the UPTET exam.

UPTET Paper 2 also consists of 5 sections, but the content of these sections is different from that of Paper 1. The sections in UPTET Paper 2 are: 1. Child Development and Pedagogy: This section is similar to the one in Paper 1, but the questions are designed to test the candidates' understanding of the educational psychology and teaching methodologies for students in the age group of 11-14 years. 2. Language 1 (Hindi): This section is also similar to the one in Paper 1, but the questions are designed to test the candidates' proficiency in the Hindi language for students in the age group of 11-14 years. 3. Language 2 (English/Urdu/Sanskrit): This section is similar to the one in Paper 1, but the questions are designed to test the candidates' proficiency in the chosen language for students in the age group of 11-14 years. 4. Mathematics and Science: This section tests the candidates' knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts, as well as their understanding of basic concepts in science subjects such as physics, chemistry, biology, etc. 5. Social Studies/Social Science: This section tests the candidates' knowledge of social studies and social science subjects, including history, geography, civics, and economics. Each section carries equal weightage, and candidates must score a minimum of 60% marks to qualify the UPTET exam. The exam is conducted fora duration of 2.5 hours, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.

TGCHE hosts the Telangana ICET registration in multiple windows. The first registration window is facilitated where the candidate can apply without paying any late fee. Regular application fee is applicable in such cases. Candidates who wish to apply after the TG ICET registration deadline, have to pay a late fee amount. There are multiple registration window with late fee amount for specific timelines. With each deadline late fee increases.

The exam is conducted for a duration of 2.5 hours, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
