Well, to get a good B.Arch college, you need to attempt NATA entrance exam and score good marks in it. But if you want to go in any private college, you can go but somehow you need to clear the NATA exam.

In order to be eligible for admission in SIBM Pune, you need to give the SNAP test, which is generally conducted in the month of December. The SNAP test results are announced by January, after which the cutoff and GD-PI-WAT shortlist is announced to the candidates. The GE PI WAT process is conducted in February, and the merit list is declared by March.

That's a broad term you are using. There are different levels of higher education and the admission requirements differ. For most UG courses you must know French, universities will tell you about the entrance exam you must take. You can check Campus France website.
