Sikkim University has not released the 2025 placement statistics yet. However, the NIRF report for 2024 is out. According to the report,  2 UG (3-year),  18 PG (2-year), and 2 PG (3-year) students were placed during Sikkim University placements 2023. The median package offered to UG (3-year) students was INR 7 LPA. For PG courses, the median package ranged between INR 2.50 LPA and INR 7.50 LPA. Sikkim University offers 100% placement assistance. High placement rates have been continuously attained by SRM University Sikkim. For the 2022–2023 academic year, 91% of students were placed, and the average wage package was INR 2.75 LPA. The highest pay scale that was provided was INR 3.50 LPA.

Conversely, Sikkim University's web presence regarding placements is somewhat lacking. However, Amazon, Oracle India, ICICI Bank, and Axis Bank are a few of the leading recruiting firms that visit the university to position students. The highest median package for postgraduate students is INR 6 LPA, while the median package for undergraduate students is INR 5.40 LPA.

In terms of compensation packages, it appears that Sikkim University gives higher placements than SRM University Sikkim.

Sikkim University's MBA admissions process is contingent upon specialisation and market need. However,  there is a maximum intake capacity of 20 students for each specialism within the MBA degree. The institute's GD and PI tests are conducted after the CAT,  CMAT,  and MAT exam results are used to determine admission to this programme. The first year's MBA tuition is INR 16,102.

You must take the Central University Entrance Test (CUET), administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA), in order to enrol at Sikkim University. There are eight locations in India where the CUET is held for both UG and PG programmes. Depending on the stream and level of study, different courses have varied qualifying requirements. For instance, you must have completed English or Chinese as a required subject in your 10+2 or equivalent programme with 45% of the possible points in order to apply to a UG programme. You must have 50% of your bachelor's degree in the relevant field to be eligible for a postgraduate programme. A master's degree in the relevant field with 55% of the possible points is required for admission to a Ph.D. programme. You must also pass the written exam and the interview.

The application process for Sikkim University is online only. You need to register on the official website and pay the application fee using online payment methods. The application fee is Rs. 1000/- for General, Rs. 750 for OBC and EWSs candidates and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PWD/DA candidates.

For its BBA students, Inspire Academy boasts a 100% placement rate, with an average package of INR 4.8 LPA and a maximum package of 12 LPA.

BBA at GD Goenka University:

The UGC has granted recognition to GD Goenka University, a private university. General Management, Marketing, Finance, International Business, Entrepreneurship, Human Resource Management, Operations, E-commerce, Banking and Finance, and Hospitality Studies are the ten specialisations in which GD Goenka University offers BBA degrees. The four-year BBA programme at  the  University includes an optional one-year internship. The cost of a BBA at GD Goenka University is INR1.6 Lacs annually.  Additionally, GD Goenka University asserts that its BBA students have a strong placement history, with a maximum package of 10 LPA and an average package of 3.5 LPA.
