Indian Maritime University imparts the course to train students and make them eminent in the field of maritime engineering. Therefore, the IMU Common Entrance Test is conducted to prepare candidates before admitting them in the academic program.
The exam is based upon six subjects of Physics, Mathematics, English, Reasoning Aptitude, General Knowledge and Chemistry; the level of the question paper will be 12th standard.
You may prepare with the help of guidance books, sample papers and study materials. You should even have a good grasp of the subjects and dedicate your time in a lot of practice and thorough understanding.

Hi, MSc.(Computer Science) is good if you want to make your career in hardware and networking, information security, VSLI/Embedded Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Wireless Communication etc. After completion of MSc. you will have to go for additional diploma/certificate course in any of these above mentioned streams depending upon your interest, preference and aptitude for that field.MCA is good if you want to explore career otpions in web development, software development, database administration, hardware and networking.Hence we would recommend to anaylse your interests and aptitude for various domains and your furture aspirations and then make a choice between MCA and MSc.(CS).As regarding MCA, if you want to do it through regular mode then you will have to wait for one year. Regular mode is advisable as regular mode courses have more value than distance course.Hope this helps. All the Best!

One of the best approaches while deciding on your subjects/ stream is to opt for or look at doing something that you are good at and would enjoy keeping in mind your personality, aptitude, ability, strengths and career goals.

Deciding the worth of the course depends on what you want out of it. Good companies do visit our college for placements. This year the highest package was a CTC of Rs. 5.8L + perks so far and the average was Rs. 4.52L + perks. But a point to note is that majority were first time placements. A lot of our students opt for tier II and tier III city placements in the Southern Indian states.
