Overall, most of the universities abroad do not take into consideration the work experience in family business.

2. Once shortlisted, you may then contact the admission department of these universities to know whether they consider work experience in family business, if they consider you may then apply accordingly.

The history of backlogs will not affect your chances of getting admission in Canadian universities , but please make sure that by the time you apply to the university all of your backlogs are cleared.
However, please remember in order to pursue MBA from good universities in Canada, you need to have atleast 2-3 years of full time work experience after graduation.
Besides work experience you also need to have good academic record preferably 60%-70% plus in graduation, plus you need to take below mentioned test:
1. GMAT.
2. IELTS or TOEFL.
