Technically there is a major difference between the distance learning MBA/distance education MBA and correspondence MBA. Correspondence MBA is the traditional form of providing distance learning. It involves sending the study material prepared by an MBA college to a candidate through post and depends completely upon self study. The objective of correspondence MBA initially was to be cost effective and exclude the hassle of classroom learning. However, with technological advancement distance learning came into the picture which included many added features other than posting the study material.
Distance learning MBA programs also make use of multi media facilities, these being audio-video, internet and satellite communication to conduct lectures, hold conferences, take viva and create a sort of virtual college environment.
A third form of out of class MBA is the online MBA programs wherein everything including the study material is available online and all communication happens through the World Wide Web.
Though there are these basic differences between correspondence MBA, distance learning MBA and online MBA programs, most universities and institutes fail to differentiate between them and offer the Distance Learning program under the tag of correspondence MBA or online MBA. * Aircraft maintenance engineers (AME) work in the engineering and maintenance department of an airline to ensure the availability of a safe and airworthy aircraft for an airline.
* A course in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering is not a degree but a license course and only those institutes approved by the DGCA can impart training in this subject.
This training course is rigorous and only a few institutes offer training on heavy aircraft and jet engines. Total training cost will be around 1.5 lakh.
* Eligibility :
A student from the Science stream with a minimum of 50% (some institutes need 60%) in class 12th is eligible for a 3 year certificate course on aircraft maintenance engineering conducted by training schools approved by the DGCA.

* After the successful completion of AME course you can appear and qualify for AMAeSI (Associate Membership of Aeronautical Society of India) which is fully recognized by Government of India/ State Government/ Union Public Service Commission/ GATE for MTech admission/ Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd/ Indian Airlines/ Air India/ BHEL/ DRDO/ NAL/ IAF/ Coast Guard/ Airline Industries/ Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi/ Madras Institute of Technology as equivalent to BE/ BTech (Aeronautical Engineering).
