Through its organized corporate engagement structure for the PGDM program, GIBS Business School provides students with the opportunity to participate in regular internships and live-projects. The corporate relations and placement teams at GIBS are instrumental in forging new partnerships with a large variety of companies across sectors. The corporate relations and placement teams maintain strong business relationships with all of these organisations through regular engagement and relationship-building activities including guest lectures, corporate meetings, and networking opportunities between current students and alumni.

Internships and live-projects are integrated into the PGDM curriculum; therefore, they are mandatory aspects of the PGDM programme. The corporate relations and placement teams will work with organisations to deploy projects that align with the specialisation of the students, such as finance, marketing, human resources, analytics & operations. This systematic approach to continuous provision of practical experience, enables students to apply theoretical business knowledge from the classroom to real-world scenarios throughout their PGDM studies.

Students at GIBS, which is considered the "Trampoline Board of International Businesses", are generally put into various occupations across a multitude of different worldwide industries that include Information Technology (IT) & IT Enabled Services (ITES), Banking Financial Services Insurance (BFSI), Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Retail Trade, E-commerce, Consulting, and Manufacturing. In addition to those categories, many common functions include positions in marketing and sales executives; business analysts; human resources executives; finance associates; and operations groups as well. The GIBS Business School Placement Cell has a vital role in preparing students for these varied employment opportunities through continuous training via programs such as Cultural Professional Development Programs (Finishing Schools), which provide training on communication skills; aptitude; and personal preparation for job searches. They also conduct mock interviews with participants, facilitate group discussions, build resumes with the participants, and host industry interaction sessions to assist graduates in finding employment after graduation. Through utilizing placements along with providing hands-on practical exposure to activities through the use of thoroughly organized schedules are two ways that the GIBS Business School Placement Cell can ensure that graduates will meet the expectations of their employers in today's demanding work settings.

1. Innovation & Entrepreneurship Support

The IRE (Innovation, Research & Entrepreneurship) programs are established by the Graduate Institute of Business Studies (GIBS) where students can participate in the creation of new business/startup ideas, researching specific industries/businesses to enhance knowledge and understanding regarding specific businesses.

Innovation labs, creativity rooms and project spaces were built to give students a place to develop their ideas and experiment with new concepts.

2. Industry Exposure Opportunities

Through guest lectures, corporate presentations, company visits, live projects, and internships, students interact with the business environment on a regular basis. These opportunities provide practical examples of the real world challenges that exist in the successful operations of various industries.

3. Leadership Development Activities.

There are numerous student clubs, management fests, cultural events, and leadership workshops on campus that develop leadership skills within students. These students have the opportunity to lead teams, organise events and enhance their communication and decision making skills.

4. Modern Academic Infrastructure

The GIBS campus is equipped with various forms of academic resources including digitally enabled classrooms, seminar halls, auditoriums, computer labs and a library. Furthermore, there is Wi-Fi throughout the GIBS campus to support research, online learning and collaboration.
