To become a software engineer you may opt for courses such as :
• Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science / Information Technology
• Bachelor of Science (hons.) in Software Engineering
• Master of Computer Applications
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
• Bachelor of Science in Information Technology
Apart from these courses, you can also take up some specialized courses in institutions such as NIIT, Aptech etc.
Also, it is better to have some recognized certification such as Oracle, Microsoft, etc on specific areas like programming, database, networking and hardware.
