No. Not at all. Biotechnology is an interdisciplinary field, emphasising mainly on key general, introductory Biology courses followed by the necessary courses in applied sciences using Biotechnology. In my opinion, there's nothing to caution yourself whether you are PCB/PCMB/PCM student.
