No, it is not necessary at all. If you have basic understanding of the subjects, then scoring above 60% will be sufficient. You should focus on communication skills also to get placed in top companies through campus placement.

Do not worry. I can understand your concern and angst. Most optimum is getting admission in a government college. Fees are reasonable and faculty is also good. But you will have to study hard to get a better rank in UPSEE. These days direct entry is only in Tamil Nadu and with some deemed to be universities or management quota seats. Best wishes to you.

I don't think that B.Sc in Geology is available under distance education mode. The course is more practical in nature, and thus I would say you to opt for one regular. Regards.
