Social work is one of the academic disciplines under the arts stream. Social work mainly encompasses areas such as community development, social welfare, social justice and public administration.
Basic Eligibility:
A graduate in any discipline can join for the Masters degree course in Social work (M.S.W./ M.A) which is of 2 year duration.
But students with a background in social work, psychology, social science, sociology or any other related fields will get preference.
Specialization in MSW includes:-
-Human resource management
-Criminology and correctional administration
-medical and psychiatric social work
-family and child welfare
-rural and urban community development,
-schools social work
A masters degree in Social work is necessary for positions in the mental health field and general supervisory positions.

CDS Exam is conducted two times in a year which provides opportunities to all people to pursue a career which helps them to serve for the nation.
The eligible candidates may apply for the test.
Nationality:
The candidate must be a citizen of India, Nepal or Bhutan to fall under the eligibility criteria of CDS 2014.
Age Limit:
For Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy: Unmarried male applicants born not earlier or later than date specified under current notification by UPSC regarding CDS exam.
For Officers Training Academy (SSC Course for Men): Male aspirants (Married or Unmarried) born not earlier or later than date range provided in notification.
CDS Exam Criteria for Girls:
For Officers Training Academy (OTA) Only (SSC Women Non technical Course): The unmarried girls are only applicable for the Officers Training Academy and should have been born not earlier or later than dates provided in latest notification.
Education Qualification:
i) For Indian Military Academy/Officers' Training Academy: Degree from a recognized university or equivalent
ii) For Indian Naval Academy: Bachelor of Engineering

Have a look at the eligibility norms for 2015 admissions:-
o MBA in Media & Entertainment + PGP in Media & Communication - Graduate in any discipline with at least 50% marks
o BBA in Management + Graduate Programme in Media & Communication - Higher secondary examination (10+2) passed
o B.Sc. in Filmmaking + Diploma in Filmmaking with specialization - Higher secondary examination (10+2) passed with at least 50% marks

3. Complete the Application form
You need to download and print the hard copy of the application form and complete the same with the appropriate and requisite information in the given fields.
You also need to attach the photocopy of the requisite supporting documents subscribing the qualification credentials. This completed form can then be handed at our on campus front office in person or can be couriered to us at our mailing address.
In some programs the applicant is required to submit proof of creative work such as portfolio, show reel or copy of written work, do ensure that this is submitted along with the completed application form in the requisite media format.
5. Written Test/Personal Interview
Our admission team will scrutinize and assess all applications received so as to ensure they meet the laid eligibility norms. The shortlisted candidate will then be intimated by the admission vide the telecall and email mentioning the scheduled date and time of the written test and personal interview with designated panel members.
6. Final Selection
Based on your performance in both the written test and personal interview the successful candidates would be send the offer letter vide email and intimate the same vide telecall. You are then required to accept the offer of joining the program within the specified timelines and compliance with laid procedures as mentioned in the offer letter.
