Admission Through Learning Support Centres

To facilitate the admission process, Madras University has established learning support centres within Tamil Nadu. Students seeking admission in Madras University distance MBA programme can visit any of the learning support centres and complete the admission formalities.Applicants must have an undergraduate (UG) degree with the last 45–50% of their marks to be considered for admission to Madras University's MBA program. The total cost of the Madras University distance MBA programme is Rs. 38,740/- and the Project fee of Rs 3,000/- will be charged in the last year.

In every programme, 15% of the seats are reserved for SC students and international students each. ST and PwD category students have a seat reservation of 7.5% and 3%, respectively.

For all UG and PG programmes, application fee is Rs 200, to be paid by cash. However, the application fee for MBA is Rs 500.

Candidates must have passed graduation in any stream with more than 50% aggregate (45% for reserved category).

SICSR application fee for all UG and PG programmes is INR 1,000. Candidates can pay the fee online via debit/ credit cards or net banking.

Madras University Distance Education offers more than 60 courses across various levels such as 15 undergraduate, 20 postgraduate, 16 Diploma and 12 certificate programmes.
