Certainly, candidates are permitted to use scores from more than one entrance exam to apply to GIBS Business School. Any valid management tests taken (including, but not limited to, CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, ATMA, GMAT) must accompany the application. The admissions team will assess each candidate based on their best score (s) submitted, providing candidates greater opportunities for admission to the PGDM/MBA Program.

While GIBS Business School allows candidates to submit scores from the National Examination (CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, ATMA or GMAT), it also requires candidates wishing to apply for a PGDM / MBA programme who do not have these scores or wish to increase their chances of being accepted by taking the GIBS Aptitude Test, to take the GIBS Aptitude Test first. This is an internal test administered by GIBS Business School to evaluate candidates' analytical and reasoning skills, communication and interpersonal skills as well as their overall potential. Candidates who are short-listed based upon their performance on the GIBS Aptitude Test may then

At GIBS, there isn't any very strict cut-off like some big exam-focused colleges. A decent score or percentile in exams like CAT, MAT, CMAT, or XAT is enough to be considered. What really matters is your overall profile — your graduation background, communication skills, attitude, and interest in learning.

As students, we've seen that GIBS looks at the complete picture, not just exam marks. Even if your percentile is average, you still have a good chance if you perform well in the interaction and show clarity about your goals. That's what makes the admission process feel fair and student-friendly.

At GIBS Bangalore, admission to the PGDM (MBA-equivalent) and MBA programs is quite student-friendly. They accept all the major national management entrance exams, so you have multiple options.

GIBS accepts scores from:

  • CAT

  • MAT

  • XAT

  • CMAT

  • ATMA

  • GMAT

What I personally like about GIBS is that they don't judge you only on exam scores. Along with entrance exams, they also look at your overall profile, communication skills, and interest in management, which makes the process fair and practical for students.

That's one of the reasons GIBS is a good choice for students who want quality management education without unnecessary pressure.
