The ranking varies as per the different surveyors. Besides placements, there are other factors that define a good and reputed institute such as Faculty, Course Material, Quality Education, Fees, Accreditation and Infrastructure.
Consider the above parameters and then take a wise decision after thorough discussion with your peer group, family and faculty at school/college.
And for best results, I may suggest you to personally visit the institutes and interact with the existing batches and also try reaching alumni for clear and transparent review.

UPSC examination is conducted every year and on the basis of this examination a number of IAS, IPS, IFS officers are recruited.
Regarding the subjects, there is a big list of optional subjects to choose from. You may choose according to your personal interest and skills. I would suggest you to opt for a particular subject in which you are comfortable and find scoring as it will help you to crack the exam.
