Its too early for the preparations, but still if you want to start preparations, you can start with IELTS preparations and also what courses he wants to opt for.

The whole process can be summes up as below
1. Apply online
2. Candidate shortlisted for GDPI on the basis of their profile parameters like academics, work-experience, certifications etc. (need to get above 85 percentile in CAT/XAT)
3. Cadidates shortlisted for GDPI on the basis of CAT/XAT scores alone.
4. GDPI is conducted which includes group discussions and group interview.
5. Candidates given final admission offer based on overall performance.
Last date to apply online is over and GDPI lists are OUT.

There are many options. You can appear for IBPS Examination for clerks, PO Examinations for Probationary Officers, or join private banks through their training cum employment options like the one offered by ICICI Bank in association with IFBI. You may also consider courses from ICFAI in Treasury Management.

Since both MSc and MBA are masters degrees, it is better to pursue one. If you want to make a career in Botany/Chemistry, go for MSc. Else, opt for MBA which requires sound analytical, numerical and logical skills.
