You can crack NSD if you really have the will and passion to be a part of it. You should have a good practical experience in Theater. Be it performing in different plays, working with different kind of directors, work at as different places with different people . That will enhance your experience in a way. NSD specifically mentions that you need to have performed at least 6 theater plays in order to be eligible to apply for the said course. They conduct an audition as a qualifying test. Christ college is a good college but I think once you can try for IHM, it is in the top 2 colleges in India

You can pursue both the courses provided both are not degree courses. One degree and one diploma/certificate course is allowed to be pursued and is legal.

Acting schools are mostly expensive only. Even a short term course of 3 months might cost you around 60-70K at least. You can rather get associated with some theater group and learn the skills of acting from them. Joining a theater group will not be a cheaper option but will also enhance your skills as a whole.
