Good side of VBSPU Jaunpur:

The eligibility criteria to get admissions into MSc courses at Azim Premji University is that candidates must complete their bachelor's degree from the recognised university. Additionally, ideal candidates should possess basic mathematical and analytical skills to succeed in this programme. For the final selection process, the university accepts the scores of two entrance examinations, i.e., the CUET PG and the in-house university entrance exam (APU NET).

The eligibility criteria to get admissions into MSc courses at St. Joseph University is that candidates must complete graduation with a minimum of 40% aggregate of all the subjects and 50% marks in Chemistry (cognate subject)/Biochemistry (with a minimum of 24 credits in Chemistry) and studied Mathematics at least at Class 12 or PUC level or Mathematics courses equivalent to Class 12 level through MOOCS programmes. Additionally, candidates must have passed St. Joseph's University Entrance Test (SJUET). 

It is tough to compare which university is easier to get admission into for MSc courses among Azim Premji University and Christ University. Both of the universities are privately owned and have similar reputations in Bangalore. However, if we compare the admission process, APU Bangalore accepts the scores of the CUET PG entrance examinations and Azim Premji University National Entrance Test for admission to MSc courses, and Christ University offers admission on the basis of the Christ University Entrance Test (CUET), Micro Presentation (MP), and Personal Interview (PI) rounds.

As your percentile is below the EWS qualifying cutoff, you would not be considered for the EWS quota seats through CSAB.

To qualify under the EWS category, you would need at least 80 percentile. You are below that with your percentile being 68.33 - unlikely you will get a seat under your category.

Whether you can get a seat in CSE (Computer Science and Engineering) with a specialisation in AIML (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) through JAC (Joint Admission Counselling) with a 92.5 percentile and EWS category depends on a few key factors:

1. Participating Institutes and Their Cutoffs:

• JAC Participating Institutes: First, identify which institutes are participating in JAC for CSE AIML admissions. This usually includes:

  • Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT)
  • Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW)

• Cutoff Variations: Each institute will have its own cutoff scores, which vary based on:
  • The total number of applicants
  • The difficulty level of the exam (usually JEE Main)
  • The number of seats available
  • Category-wise reservations (including EWS)

2. JEE Main Score:

• JAC's Primary Criteria: JAC counselling primarily uses JEE Main scores for admissions. Your 92.5 percentile in CMAT is relevant for MBA admissions, but it won't be the deciding factor for CSE AIML through JAC.
• Convert to JEE Main Percentile: To assess your chances, you'll need to know your JEE Main percentile score. This is the score that JAC counselling will consider.

3. EWS Reservation:

• Advantage: Being in the EWS category definitely gives you an advantage, as there are reserved seats for EWS candidates. This means the cutoff for EWS candidates will generally be lower than for the general category.
