The mode of application for all the undergraduate and postgraduate courses is online, and admission is entrance exam-based or merit-based. The university conducts Shiv Nadar University Chennai Entrance Examination SNUCEE followed by a Personal Interview round on the basis of which admission to mostly all the courses (Except Ph.D. is done. A group discussion round is also conducted. For Ph.D. SNU Chennai Ph.D. Entrance Exam is conducted and the final selection is done on the basis of entrance exam scores, PG Degree aggregate, Research Proposal, and performance in the interview round.
