You can go for diploma in Fashion Designing in any government. polytechnic or state textile institute.
NIFT also offers 1 year diploma program.
However a degree program is better as it fully prepares you on the basis of the industry requirements and gives you a complete education in not only design and execution but also in communication.
You can go for a degree programme in NIFT directly in 2nd year , that is from 4th semester if you go for lateral entry after your diploma in designing.
