The dress code at Indian Institute of Information Technology Tiruchirappalli is different for both boys ang girls.

All boys should arrive at class and computer laboratories wearing formal attire, preferably full pants and a shirt. T-shirts and other casual clothing are not permitted in the classroom.

All girls should arrive in traditional attire, such as a saree or churidar with a dupatta, to class and computer labs. It is strictly forbidden to wear T-shirts and other casual clothing in the classroom and laboratory. 

 The total tuition fee of the M.Tech programme at RGIPT ranges between INR 40,000 - INR 12.99 lakh. Fee on the larger side in this ranges indicates the fee o fM.Tech integrated with the BTech programme.  For admission to the M.Tech programme at RGIPT candidates need a minimum of 60% marks/6.0 CPI on a 10 point in their graduation.

Students who wants to pursue B.Tech at Indian Institute of Information Technology Tiruchirappalli must appear for the JEEMainseam and clear the cutoff score. Below are some of the criteria that are necessary for B.Tech at Indian Institute of Information Technology Tiruchirappalli:

•  In Class XII, or equivalent Board examinations, at least 75% of the aggregate marks must be obtained.
• The overall marks shall not exceed 65% in respect of SC, ST and PwD candidates.

The minimum eligibility criteria to apply for an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) (BTech + MTech) programme is Class 12 with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% for SC/ST category). Candidates must meet this academic requirement to be eligible for the IDD programme at RGIPT.

The total fee of the BTech programme offered by RGIPT ranges between INR 10.41 Lakh- INR 12.99 lakh. The fee can vary based on specializations and the BTech programme is also offered as an integrated dual degree in Computer Science and Engineering and Artificial Intelligence as a five-year course. Eligibility for admission to the BTech programme at RGIPT is a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% for SC/ST) in Class 12 for JEE (Advanced)

The application fee at RGIPT is non-refundable. It is INR 600/- + INR 108/- (Taxes) for SC/ST/PwD and female candidates, and INR 1200/- + INR 216/- (Taxes) for all other candidates.

Food's good, don't bring too much expectations, the first month will be a challenge but you'll get used to it. When you get hungry after dinner or just during the day, there's a canteen at our place. We've got four meals a day, including fruit, every day.
