Dear Student,UGC provides approval for institutions in general and AICTE provides approval for only those institutions that offer engineering and management courses. In an AICTE approved Institute, any changes to student intake, addition of courses, closure of course, change in affiliation, change in the name of the course or institution must be approved by AICTE. But it is not so in case the institution is UGC approved. Earlier the courses administered at Lovely Institute were run under PTU in 2002 and were approved by AICTE. But as in 2006 LPU came into existence after approval from UGC, it needn’t go for AICTE approval anymore. The B. Tech from LPU is completely valid across the world. You can even have a look at the copy of all the approval notifications at LPU’s official website. You can choose LPU for grooming your career in the field of engineering without any doubts.
