The lateral entry process at OP Jindal University (OPJU) for a three-year full-time B.Tech in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering is as follows:
1. The eligible students have to either apply online at the official website of OPJU or submit an offline application.
2. They also need to pay a nonrefundable application fee of Rs. 500 for the B.Tech course.
3. The eligibility criteria to apply are: having completed a 3-year Diploma in metallurgical engineering or a related subject with at least 50% marks, or having done a B.Sc. In mathematics with a first-class division.
4. Thereafter, a merit list will be announced for eligible candidates, and the shortlisted students will have to appear for counseling.
5. There will be three rounds, and if there are any unfilled seats after these rounds, they will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
6. If the students are fulfilling the requisite conditions and their documents are verified, then a provisional admission offer letter will be issued to them. Finally, the students have to deposit the required fee within the stipulated time.
