To make your resume stronger, you can do some good internships in the domain you wish to pursue later. Also, look for some good NGOs, and do 1-2 social internships too. That helps later. Other than that, you can do some certifications, or try for research/review papers.

If you want to choose the best college, then choose a college whose reputation is best, they should conduct more and more practical related to that subjects. For eg. when you are working with number of different animals and studying different topics, you almost certainly won't get bored. A university that offers large emphasis on field work. Which means, less time coped with lectures and more time with animals. Some best college like:-
