As far as syllabus is concerned you must start early but really there is no definite answer on this, How many hours one should study to crack IIT JAM. It depends on efficiency, accuracy &conceptual clarity. If you go to college or coaching then 3-4 yours are enough. Follow the latest syllabus & check IIT JAM. Previous Year Question Paper. Practice the easiest topics first and solve a variety of questions. Then proceed to the next level topics clear the concept and practice more no of questions to master them. Also appear for mock test papers as well. Thanks.

Here is the preparation strategy for IIT JAM Mathematics. Mark the topics you know well. Cover them first. Solve relevant questions. Proceed to the topics you have studied earlier but require practice. Now look for the topics which are difficult & scoring ones.
