The minimum educational requirement to become an Astrobiologist is a Bachelor's degree in any of the Science subjects like Space Science, Astronomy, Chemistry, Biology or other appropriate Science subject from a recognized university.
So you can go ahead. You also have the option of pursuing a specialized course in Astrobiology.
You can seek employment on completing the under graduation programme. Some of the areas under Astrobiology include:
Exobiology
Life Science
Planetary habitability
Space Science
Terra forming
A master's programme in relevant disciplines and a doctorate in the field can equip you to undertake research in different areas of Astrobiology. Discovering, exploring and analyzing forms the major part of a research. Research can be undertaken as field work or done in laboratories.
