Philippines as an option for MBBS is a good one. I would however caution you that there are quite a few colleges in Philippines that are recruiting overseas students beyond their capacity.
I mean that if they have got 100 MBBS seats, they are recruiting beyond these seats and compromising on the quality of education.
This apart the MCI screening test is another hurdle that you need to cross to practice in India.
All in all, MBBS from Philippines is not a bad choice after all, considering the investments that cost a quarter as compared to Indian medical colleges. Also, if you are giving your 100% to education, you can comfortably clear the MCI screening test and would be at par with Indian students who actually made hefty investments to complete their MBBS course in India.
he medical course in Philippines is called the MD program [ Doctor of medicine] This is similar to that of USA, Russia, Ukraine and rest of Europe.
The total duration of this MBBS course is 5.5 years.
The first 16 months [1 year and 4 months] is called the Bachelor of Science program and focuses on building foundation for a strong medical education.
The fee structure varies from one university to another.
It can range from $ 23000 / 5.5 Year to $ 26000 / 5.5 year.

Basically there are 4 major choices available after MBBS which are usually followed by Medical Experts.
1. Specialization in India
2. Specialization in Abroad
3. Practice as General Practitioner
4.Specialization in Non Medical Fields
Most important thing I would like to mention that Medical Council of India DO NOT recognizes Post Graduation from any Foreign country including USA.So if any student completes his postgraduation in any country abroad cannot do Registration in Medical Council of India nor join any Institute as faculty.
But students who have passed MBBS from India & completed Post Graduation abroad can Practice in India.
According to current trends, people go to the following three places for specialist training:
1.USA
2.UK
3.Australia
4.Ireland
5.Nepal
USA
For admissions in USA, all International Medical Graduates must clear USMLE.

The licensing exam for UK is the PLAB
