In view of the growing IT infrastructure and various other demands associated with such expansion and management of the same in organizations, it has become extremely essential for all the Departments to have an IT Coordinator appointed as per the IT Policy from the user community who would be responsible for the following:
-Coordination with the IT Department at HO.
-Enforcement of IT Policies issued from time to time.
-Raising requisitions and assuming responsibility of deployment of IT assets
-Intimating IT Dept. if assets are surplus on account of separations/ transfers/re-deployment etc. as and when it happens
-Coordination for physical layout plan and infrastructure requirement in consultation with Admin. and IT Dept
-Ensuring environmental conditions as prescribed.
-Coordination with the Support Vendors locally and escalation of problems to HO-IT, if required.
-Ensuring regular data backup onto the media if the Branch is provided with server.
-Accounting of IT assets, documents, media etc. and safe-keep of the same.
-Communication with the IT Department at the contacts provided below for related issues and any other new responsibilities that may come up in future.
The above responsibilities of the IT Coordinator will be in addition to the existing responsibilities the incumbent is expected to shoulder.
