Hi Karan,
To make a career in automobile designing, you have to pursue a course related to this field. Go for Automotive Design Engineering instead of plain Automobile Engineering. Curriculum varies a lot as per the specialization and the specialization to be a car designer is B.tech in Automotive Designing.

This branch of engineering has very good opportunities abroad where big firms like Mercedes, Suzuki, BMW hire car designers to build their automobiles. This course is being offered by many

Last year the cut off for Somaiya was 94% in CMAT. By looking at the last year trends chances of getting a call is low.
As you know the cut off totally depends upon the number of application receives. So if you are lucky then definitely you will get a call.
Hope for the best.

You can submit all the scores (CAT/XAT/CMAT/ATMA/MAT/MH-CET) whatever you have appeared at or wherever you have scored highest. SIES call everyone for GD-PI process. Your selection more based on your GD-PI performances. Because for this year 20 percent weightage given to the written exam and 80 percent weightage given to the GD-PI, past academic records and work experience, if any. For more information kindly visit the college website http://siescoms.edu/

I would not compare institutes here. As far as Somaiya goes, it has been one of the top colleges in India for many years now, and has a 33 year legacy to it. The placements are excellent, with some of the top companies in every sector coming to campus for recruitment.

If you want to do MBA, it is definitely worth taking admission in Somaiya, especially given it's placement record and ROI. Our average package this year is Rs. 9.4 lpa, up from 8.25 lpa last year. Moreover, you will find that you will be able to learn both in the classroom as well as via experience through various committees and live projects.
