You must have a bachelor's degree. Then you need to go for an entrance test like CAT XAT MAT etc. Do check the entrance tests accepted by the colleges you are targeting. For example, IIFT has its own entrance test I. e. IIFT entrance exam. Symbiosis institute accepts SNAP and so on. After you get your result, apply for the colleges you match the cutoff with. Cut-off lists are released by the colleges. Next, you need to follow the admission process as per the college's instructions. It differs from college to college. Some go by GD then PI. In some colleges, there can be extempore rather than GD. Do for the said process and that's it.

Hello Jahnavi, I am attaching below list of different categories and their cutoffs. Remember, to get admission in any NIT, a student has to score much more than this. This is so since cutoffs are decided to find top 2.5L students but actual seats are much less. Cut-off for JEE Advance
Candidates having at least 90.3765335 percentile will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. For EWS students the cut-off is 70.2435518, for OBC it is 72.8887969, SC - 50.1760245, ST - 39.0696101, PwD - 0.06185224
Best wishes to you.
