Aspirants seeking to become a Chartered Accountant should register with the Board of Studies at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) for the Common Proficiency Test (CPT). The registration has to be done 60 days prior to appearing for the exam. Candidates can enrol for CPT after passing the class 10 exam itself. On passing the +2 examination or a recognised equivalent examination, candidates can write the CPT. On successful completion of the +2 exam and the CPT, candidates are eligible to register for the Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC). Candidates have the option of choosing Group I and/or Group II. A nine-month of course study is required. The orientation course is for one week with thirty-five-hour credit. It covers areas like office procedure, personality development, general commercial knowledge, communication skills, business environment etc. After the orientation course, candidates have to gain competence in information technology. Hundred hours of Information Technology Training (ITT) has to be completed by the candidate, followed by articleship training.
Aspirants can take the final examination on completion of the three year articled training or while serving the last six months of the training.
On acquiring the ICAI membership, candidates will be designated as Chartered Accountant.

1. Research Firstly, research the LLB entrance exams conducted by various universities or colleges. Check the eligibility criteria, exam pattern, syllabus, and important dates for each exam.
2. Registration Once you have decided on the exam you want to appear for, visit the official website of the conducting authority and register yourself by providing the necessary details such as your name, contact details, educational qualifications, etc.
3. Fill the application form After registration, fill the application form by providing your personal and academic details, uploading your photograph and signature, and paying the application fee (if applicable).
4. Submit the application Once you have filled the application form, submit it and take a printout of the confirmation page.
5. Admit card After the submission of the application form, the conducting authority will release the admit card for the exam. Download and take a printout of the admit card.
6. Exam On the day of the exam, carry the admit card along with a valid ID proof to the exam center. Follow all the instructions given by the conducting authority during the exam.
7. Result After the completion of the exam, the conducting authority will release the result. Check your result and take a printout of the scorecard.

1. Understand the exam pattern and syllabus Go through the exam pattern and syllabus thoroughly and understand the topics and sections that will be covered in the exam.
2. Make a study plan Create a study plan that suits your schedule and stick to it. Set achievable targets and make sure to cover all the topics before the exam.
3. Study material: Collect study material such as books, sample papers, previous years question papers, and other online resources that will help you to prepare for the exam.
4. Practice Practice mock tests and sample papers to get an idea about the type of questions asked in the exam and improve your speed and accuracy.
5. Revision Revise the topics regularly to retain the information for a longer period.
6. Stay updated Keep yourself updated with current affairs, legal news, and changes in the legal system as they might be asked in the exam.
