Hi Indrani, you can pursue it from any country. But if you intend to study PhD also in the same subject then I would suggest a MA in English from the same country as you intend to pursue PhD. What could be better to pursue the course in a country where the language actually originated !!!
You can pursue PhD, but you will have to be a good student to get scholarship as it could be very expensive to study at your own expense in the UK for PhD (3 yrs ).
If you like this answer then kindly mark it as the best answer or rate it thumbs up. Please feel free to post queries if you have any.

Its better always if you visit the institute directly and inform about your interest , so that the counselor can tell you which course fits you better.
Before choosing any institute , surely compare with the other about their market reputation. If possible talk to some of the earlier students , who has already completed the course.
I personally suggest frameboxx jayanagar Bangalore (provided if you don't have a geographical barrier.
