The following table mentions a comparison between both these top colleges of DU for their undergraduate courses in the field of Arts and Humanities:

College Name

BA Fee Range

Median Salary (UG 3-year)

Hindu College

INR 52,680 - INR 52,770

INR 6.4 LPA

Miranda House

INR 42,480 - INR 51,240

INR 6 LPA

Based on the details mentioned in the above table, it can be concluded that both these colleges are equally good and candidates can go for any of the two options where they qualify for admission. However, there is a minute difference in between the course fee and salary that the BA/ BA (Hons) passouts get after completing this course. But the gap is too small to be considered in rating a college better than the other. Miranda7 Hindu College with other colleges here

Yes, there are 22 hostels present on the university campus. 14 are for boys and 8 for girls.  The rooms are on a sharing basis, with two to four students in one room. Hostel rooms have basic facilities, such as beds, chairs, and cupboards, and contain a dining hall, a library, a games room, and a laundry room for the residents.  Hostel accommodation is only on a first-come, first-served basis and is reserved for students coming from distant places, and for those who are pursuing certain courses, such as medicine and engineering, etc.

Usually, undergraduate courses cutoff is lower than the cutoff for postgraduate courses as there are more seats to fill in the UG courses. Moreover, the cutoff for reserved category is lower than the cutoff for the General category as the Government of India has reserved a certain number of seats for the reserved category students.
