The duration of paper would be 3 hours.
Final Examination: (Only for those who qualify in the Preliminary Examination). The Final Examination would consist of one paper containing 120 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) to be answered on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet using Ball Point Pen only. The duration of paper would be 3 hours.

The merit/rank list shall be prepared based on 40% weightage to school Boards
marks in class 12th or equivalent examination and 60% weightage to JEE(Main). The weightage to school Board/Equivalent examination marks shall be considered only after normalization.
Mode of Examination
The Paper-1 of JEE (Main) will be conducted in two separate modes i.e. Offline (Pen
and Paper Based Examination) mode and Online (Computer Based Examination) mode. The Paper-2 of JEE (Main) will be conducted only in Pen and Paper based examination mode. A candidate will opt for either Pen and Paper Based or Computer Based examination modes for Paper-1 only.

As per your query, it seems that you wish to work in US so regarding this please remember getting jobs abroad is very competitive as you need to compete with the natives of that country first and then with remaining international candidates.However if you fulfil the eligibility criteria for a particular job then getting a job should not be a problem.
In order to get job abroad, you need to first of all find out the job opening in the area of your interest, and the best source for this are newspaper and job portals.
Both of these medium provides information about vacant job position and eligibility criteria for a particular job.
If your qualification and work experience matches the eligibility criteria, then you may apply for the job.
I would suggest that before opting for any course you must first decide in which field you wish to build your career and accordingly you can select the best course as per your interest and liking.
As a student you should give your 100% in whichever course you opt for, and if you do well then getting a good job with handsome salary should not be a problem.

The skill test is basically a ' Stenography Speed Test ' . Candidates have to prove themselves that they know the stenography very well . Candidates may give this test in any method of stenography . Two main methods are:-
Gregg Shorthand
Pitman Stenography
In India, about 95% stenographer use the second one .
The most popular magazine for learning stenographers, – “ Kailash Chandra Transcription ” .
For your practice, you can do the following:
Find someone who can dictate you the whole English/Hindi news paper daily for atleast 30 days; however the paragraph by SSC, will be easy as compared to a newspaper language .
Get in front of T.V. and follow the anchor by your stenography skills .
Always try to find out shortcuts, that describe a good stenographer; Always carry a stenography dictionary instead of a answer key .

As you are interested in pursuing your Masters from Germany. I would like to say that Germany is a very good option as Germany is one of the countries known for technological advancements, specially automobiles.
Few other good universities that might interest you are FH Aachen - University of Applied Sciences, RWTH Aachen University, Esslingen University of Applied Sciences, University of Applied Sciences Osnabruck. etc.
For admission you might have to give GRE and IELTS / TOEFL.
Germany as a is known for its technical courses, Education in Germany is government funded so you may have to give a very minimal fee ranging between 140- 500 euros.
The living expenses may cost upto 740 euros.
If possible go for a German language course. It may not be mandatory for you to learn the language for the course but will help you to find a part time job. A student in Germany can work 120 full days or 240 half days.
After completion of the course, you are allowed to stay back in the country for 1 year to look for a job and then you can convert your student permit to residence permit for gainful employment.
