An average salary or arithmetic means figured by selecting a group of people with similar profiles, adding up their salaries, then dividing this number by the total number of people in the group. Average salary = Sum of all salaries/total number of Similar Profiles.
A median is also known as the 50th percentile. Exactly, 50 percent of people make less than the median and 50 percent make more. Thanks and regards.

Pursing B.Tech from any NIT is good because they provide very good placements and the college has very high value. Getting a job after engineering from NIT will anyway boost the candidate's resume. Moreover every NIT has recognition from the Government of India and the college an be better than almost all private colleges.

Yes, PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management ) and MBA are different from each other. In terms of fee also PGDM is a little bit costlier than MBA and PGDM is offered only by autonomous institutes like IIM and NIFT. MBA is a two-year programme whereas PGDM may last from one to two years. Since nowadays the crowd is also little-bit less as compared to MBA so you can go for PGDM as it has a good future.

COEP indeed admits students based on lateral admission procedure. However this college is invariably on the top of students preference. As a result, the percentage required is of high order. As you are from open category, you need to score at least 90% in your Diploma.

Rankings mainly mark colleges based on the Research publications, Research facilities, Placements and college staff. In DTU, students mainly come for placements and a good campus life. Research field is not doing well in DTU. But, if you are a research person, please consider NITs and IIITs a better choice since DTU is mainly the epitome of competitive coding and placement driven students.
