Higher the percentage, better chances you have but the minimum percentage required is 80. Apart from that you need to have a high score in SAT/ACT and TOEFL/IELTS to get admission in USA.

While SAT+ TOEFL are the two basic ones, you may take subject based SAT to make your profile better. There are APs (Advanced Placement) Programmes too to get you some credits before you join a course in USA. You may get all info at collegeboard.org.
