Yes, you can apply for admission to Heidelberg University in Germany even if you've completed your 12th from a state board in India. However, German universities usually require either one year of undergraduate study in India or a foundation course in Germany before you can begin a bachelor's degree. For master's degrees, your Indian undergraduate degree is generally accepted. Proficiency in German language (TestDaF or DSH) or English (IELTS/TOEFL) is also essential, depending on the course medium. It's wise to consult DAAD India or the university's international admissions portal for specific requirements and deadlines.

Yes, go once, just in case a seat becomes vacant in vacancy rounds (especially if you belong to SC/ST/PwD category).

But general category students with 6L+ rank generally do not get seats in NITs/IIITs through JoSAA.

 2. CSAB Special Rounds – HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

CSAB provides vacant seats after the conclusion of JoSAA.

You may get admission in lower-ranked branches or institutes (especially in North-East NITs, or newer GFTIs).

Choose options like:

Home-state quota (if applicable)

Less preferred branches like Bio-Tech, Metallurgy, or Mining

Remote NITs (e.g., NIT Mizoram, NIT Sikkim)

 Suggestions:
Keep CSAB as your best backup for

Try clearing JEE Mains to get admission to NITs and IIITs. They are one of the best colleges in India with high reputation and good coding culture.

NIT Warangal, MNNIT Allahabad, IIIT Lucknow, IIIT Allahabad are some of the best colleges you can prefer with JEE Mains.

Apart from this you can try giving WBJEE for Jadavpur university. Very low fees and best education for CSE, very good coding culture and excellent placements.

Don't go for bottom 7 NITs and GFTIs.

BITS is also a good choice but is relatively costly. Coding culture is good there.

No, NITs (National Institutes of Technology) generally do not accept NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) scores for their B.Arch programs. NITs primarily use JEE Main Paper 2 scores for admissions to their architecture courses. While NATA scores are accepted by numerous other architecture colleges across India, they are not the standard for NITs.

Understanding Your Chances from data of earlier years and forecasted cutoffs:

A score less than 40 marks or approximately 35 percentile would normally enable admission only into lower-grade private colleges, not into top colleges like Anna University, PSG, SSN, or CIT

For instance, The American College, Madurai keeps MBA seats reserved for SC category candidates only till rank ~6203 in Round?1—which translates to a score much higher than 35 percentile.

What This Means for You
With a 35 percentile, you can hardly expect to get admission in The American College or other well-known colleges such as Anna Uni, PSG, SSN, CEG, or CIT.

To get admitted to an MSc Microbiology programme now, you'll need to meet the eligibility criteria, which typically includes a relevant Bachelor's degree (like BSc Microbiology) and potentially passing an entrance exam. Since your BSc was in 2009, you'll need to check if any time-related restrictions exist for the specific programs you're interested in.

With a rank of 49,298 in SC category in JEE Main, it will be extremely tough to get a seat in top NITs or IIITs, particularly in core branches such as CSE, ECE, or Mechanical, since cut-offs for SC category in majority of NITs for these programs usually fall below 10,000–25,000 rank range based on the institute.

That being said, here's what you can do:

Options You Might Still Explore:
Lower-demand branches (e.g. Civil, Metallurgy, Production) in newer/less competitive NITs such as:

NIT Mizoram

NIT Nagaland

NIT Arunachal Pradesh

NIT Sikkim

IIITs such as:

IIIT Bhagalpur

IIIT Manipur

IIIT Kalyani (only in very low-demand branches, if at all)
