Hello Moni,
The admissions into PG programmes like M.Sc, MA etc is based on your marks in the bachelor's degree only and there is no separate entrance exam for it.
Only for M.tech, GATE exam scores are required.
So if you have a good score in your B.Sc then you can easily get a seat at SASTRA University.

MBA is a degree provided by university. The main reason why postgraduate courses are named as PGDM is because when an institute is an autonomous body (not affiliated to any University) and conducts management courses, then such Institutes cannot offer MBA degree. Even IIMs, XLRI's doesn't offer MBA degrees; they only give PGP Diploma.
