No, it is mandatory to have appeared for the entrance exam to be eligible to participate in the SMFWBEE counselling. The primary criteria is to clear the exam cutoff to apply for admission. 

The SMFWBEE counselling started on June 2, 2025 in online mode at the official website of the conducting body. All three rounds of counselling were held online only to ensure transperancy in the admission process. 

Yes, the SMFWBEE exam will be conducted in both Bengali and English medium. Candidates will be able to read the questions in both the languages.
