The total course fee for the MD programme at AIIMS Patna is INR 6,081. AIIMS Patna offers MD across various specialisations such as MD in Radiodiagnosis, MD in Radiotherapy, MD in Pathology, MD in Community and Family Medicine, MD in General Medicine, MD in Paediatrics, MD in Anaesthesiology, MD in Psychiatry, MD in Biochemistry, MD in Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, MD in Physiology, MD in Microbiology, MD in Pharmacology, MD in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and MD in Anatomy.

AIIMS Patna provides a sum of 100 MBBS seats, with 49 seats designated for OBC/SC/ST/PWD candidates, and the remaining 51 seats allocated to candidates from the general category.

The inception of AIIMS Patna dates back to 2004, but its construction commenced in 2010, leading to its official establishment in the year 2012.

In Patna, there is only one AIIMS, situated in the Bhusaula village within the premises of the Walmi institute at Phulwari Sharif.
