M.Sc. In Astrophysics is a full-time postgraduate course which covers both theoretical and observational aspects of astrophysics, with the course modules consisting of one compulsory module focused on building research skills in Astrophysics, and a variety of different optional modules that focus on topics such as Stars and Nebula, Gravitational Dynamics, and Accretion Physics. Enrolled students are trained in not only the fundamental aspects of Astrophysics, but also transferable skills such as programming, data analysis, problem solving, scientific writing, presentation and Science outreach, enhancing employability in and out of academia. This is a 2- year long course divided into two semesters, and the starting salary offered in India for successful postgraduates of the course lies between INR 5,000 and 60,000 monthly. The minimum eligibility required to be MET for admission to the course is graduation completed with Science from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate score of 50%. Admission to the course is conducted in 2 stages:
Institutional Test. Personal Interview- involving assessment of fitness, work experience, publications and statement of purpose. Most colleges admit students to the course on the basis of their performance in the relevant entrance test. Some institutions/ universities conduct their own entrance tests for offering admission. JEE Main 2020 April session which got postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic will now be conducted from September 1 6, 2020, as announced by NTA. JEE Main Admit Card will be released 15 days prior to the date of examination. Earlier, NTA announced result for JEE Main January session on January 17, 2020. With the release of result, many aspirants will get a fair idea whether they have made it to IITs or not. Getting into IITs is a hard nut to crack. Its difficult. The unique thing about nursing is that becoming an RN at some point is a lot of time practicing, interning, etc. It practically becomes a full-time job being a nursing student. There's also very little overlap. I mean, sure, you have the math, and you can take nursing chemistry, and Anatomy with your Science credits, but that's about where it stops. Also, an RN isn't a Bachelors programme generally, so there's not a very convenient double major option there. There is a BSN, but that's generally after one is an RN already. Basically, you can do it, but your pretty much doing both programs separately, even if there close chronologically. Thank and all the best.
