The admission procedure section for VIPS is divided into two main categories for the students, which is an entrance-based admission and a management quota.

The entrance-based admission includes the clearance of the relevant entrance exams for this level of study, such as JEE Main, CLAT, or the CET conducted by GGSIPU. Candidates can complete the online registration for IPU counselling, and also can fill up their application form by uploading all documents to the portal before the deadline. Merit lists highlighting the marks obtained in the exam are issued at the end of the counselling process.

Around 15% of the seats are reserved for direct management quota admissions. Students interested in this mode of admission will have to inquire in college office itself. 

The Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS) in New Delhi does not follow CUET merit list for admission it follow CUET merit list but for remaining seats it follow CUET  merit list for most of the course it follow CET merit list

BA LBB- opening rank is 1724 and closing rank is 2527  for students lived in Delhi and out side Delhi opening rank is 2202 and closing rank is 3455

BBA LLB- opening rank is  2093 and closing rank is 2992  for students lived in Delhi and out side Delhi closing rank  is 4160
