It depends on the college, some colleges allow you to sit for multiple Courses exams but you need to confirm with the college as what rules does the college follow so you can make your decision on that basis.

Firstly, check whether you have received any confirmation mail from NTA. Secondly, check whether you have got any payment confirmation mail from NTA. Thirdly, check the website from which you have applied for. Fourthly, check the NTA website for JEE Mains exam, open the student portal and check there whether you have missed any relevant information or any notification regarding the admit card release or whether your application is accepted. There are a lot of options available from many universities. I would prefer learning from abroad as it is going to be distanced, search for universities that offer that course and shortlist them on the basis of rank, fees, credibility, distanced learning, etc. But if you want to study from India, only go for well-recognised universities.
