As it can fluctuate depending of different factors, such as number of seats, applicants, etc. However, one statement that is clear from the institute's end is students should have btained non zero positive score in the accepted entrance examination.

Yes. 7.5 SGPA is considered a good grade in India. Equivalent to approximately 67.5%. For top universities, scoring more than 8.0 SGPA is recommended. It is helpful for high amount scholarships.
If you did not get this score, do not worry. You can target other universities. Some of them focus overall profile. Not the SGPA score only.
