Most of the colleges provide a MCA of 2 years divided into 4 semesters. Some colleges like top NITs offer 3 year MCA. A 3 year MCA is more specialised and extensive. 2 year MCA is more common.

Christ College of Science and Management offers four-year BCA programme. The course is divided into eight semesters. The students are trained in practical and theoretical aspects of computer science.
