BBA aspirants can choose up to 14 specialisations and BCA aspirants can choose up to 8 specialisations. The eligibility for both the courses is based class 12 or last qualifying exam scores and selection will be based on merit followed by Sunstone Screening Test & Interview as a part of the selection process. 

Candidates who are interested in taking the admissions to one of the courses offered at SHIATS, will be refused on the following parameters:

1. If any candidate is found misleading the University with false marks, mark sheet,  information and been admitted in the
   University, the University reserves the right to reject the admission and further debar the candidate from seekingadmission in  the University in future.
2. It is the responsibility of the candidate to furnish complete and correct information in the application form. Any admission
   made on the basis of wrong or concealed information provided by the candidate or due to any oversight or error of the online counselling and admission division which is subsequently detected after the admission or joining of the candidate, will be cancelled at any time at the cost and the risk of the candidate.
3. Candidates against whom disciplinary action has been taken and who have been involved in any sort of established criminal offence in the past, will not be considered for admission.
4. If admission of a candidate is not in the interest of the university, the ViceChancellor reserves the right to cancel the admission of such a student, irrespective of the fact that he / she fulfils all the academic requirement of the programme. The decision of Vice- Chancellor shall be final and legally binding on the candidate.

Yes, Hofstra Universuty offers on-campus housing facilities through 35 residential halls located inside the university campus. As of 2021, approximately 3500 students use the on-campus accommodation facilities offered by the university.

Category of candidates and their allocation of seats in SHIATS etntrance exam is based on the following norms:

1. Regular Students:  Candidates selected for admission into various academic programmes offered by the university are considered as fulltime regular students. These students will be entitled to avail of all the facilities of the various academic departments and other fields in the university.
2.  Christian and General Candidates:  University reserves 50% seats for candidates of the Christian community and the remaining 50% seats shall be allotted to general candidates. Thus,  the total number of seats of the university have been categorized equally for Christian and general candidates. The total number of seats for admission in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes are given.
3.  Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) Candidates: For the academic programmes in agriculture, agricultural engineering and allied sciences, fifteen percent (15%) seats in undergraduate programmes and twenty-five percent (25%) seats in postgraduate programmes will be filled through all India entrance test conducted by ICAR, New Delhi.
   However, eighty-five percent (85%) seats in undergraduate and seventyfive percent (75%) in postgraduate shall be filled by SHUATS.
   The ICAR category seats are inclusive of Christian and general candidates and the number filled in either category shall be adjusted against total seats in each category.
4. Foreign Candidates: Foreign candidates are not required to appear in SOET / merit based offline counselling / open online counselling. Admission to foreign candidates will be given on the recommendation of the Directorate of International Education and Training. The foreign candidates shall pay fees in U.S. dollars as mentioned in Table No. 9 of Prospectus 2023, which does not include the boarding and lodging (food expenses etc.) charges.
5. Non-resident Indian (NRI) Candidates:  i. Admission for NRI wards/NRI-sponsored candidates is available in all undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D programmes.
    ii. NRI wards/NRI sponsored candidates are exempted from the merit based online counselling / open online counselling.
    iii. These admissions shall be against fifteen percent (15%) over and above seats available for various academic programmes.

International students can only apply for merit-based scholarships. Merit-based scholarships are awarded based on academic grades and SAT/ACT scores achieved by students. The academic credentials of international students are evaluated through their application forms. Therefore, no separate applications might be needed to bag these scholarships. International graduate students can obtain financial support in any of these ways:

• Personal Savings - This refers to a bank statement signed by a bank authority indicating the current balance.
• University Funds - This refers to the funds obtained from assistantships, fellowships, or scholarships.
• Sponsor Funds - This refers to the funds obtained from parents, friends, relatives, and organizations. It may contain a signed affidavit along with other financial documents such as bank statements.
• Bank Loan - This refers to an approved bank loan.
• Government Sponsorship - This refers to sponsorship in the form of scholarships.

The step-by-step process to apply to Hofstra University via the International application portal for both PG and UG programs is stated below:

Step 1: Visit the International application portal of university website.

Step 2: Students who have registered earlier can login. Those who have not yet registered must create their accounts on this portal first. After registering on the portal, students will receive a temporary PIN on their registered email address. They must enter this PIN to proceed.

Step 3: After choosing a password, students can click on the ‘Start New Application’ option. Now, they can click on the ‘Create Application’ button.

Step 4: At this step, students can select their application type, open the application form, fill in the relevant details and submit it, along with the required documents.

Step 5: Fill in all the required information and pay the application fee.

Step 6: Review and submit the application.
