There are several factors that need to be considered before choosing a particular stream after Class 12.
This is because the chosen stream would determine which path your career would take and the two main factors that should be taken into note while choosing a stream are:
Aptitude of the student
Personal Interests
Options for you-
B.A English or Hindi
B.A Political Science or Geography Hons
Bachelors in Physical Education
Bachelors in Fine Arts
B.COM, B.B.A or B.B.M
Bachelors in Journalism and Mass Communication
Besides, you may also consider-
1. Foreign language if aim for an interpreter’s job in the consulates and embassies. Some of the choices in this regard are French, Spanish, German, Russian, Japanese or Chinese.
2. Courses in hotel management, performing arts, travel and tourism and more.
You can analyze the various opportunities available and select the right path based on your personal criteria which should include:

As an alumnus of LPU, I feel proud to answer this question. I was a student in the B.Tech CSE of 2012 batch. Different specializations are offered to students depending upon the stream they want to opt for. For example- In CSE, they provide cybersecurity, IoT, data science, machine learning, and many more. Moreover, they give you the option for pathway electives: whether you want to be in the corporate sector, higher studies, Government Job, or entrepreneur. LPU has industrial tie-ups with numerous organizations for hands-on practical training and certifications in collaborations with the world's top brands. LPU has tied up with top companies to offer industrial training to B.Tech. students at no extra fee. Right from Google, Microsoft, SAP, Bosch India to Amazon India, Tech Mahindra, Oracle, Cadence, Cisco, Lovely Professional University has the centers of excellence and tie-ups with many of the world's leaders and IT giants. And, this is how LPU ensures that its students are industry-ready and are accepted globally, in all streams. The University also provides the option of credit transfer and international exposure to their students. If I talk about the placements, the placement preparation is started from the very first year. Students are being given placement-oriented classes and even company-specific input also. Thousands of LPU students have got placed in top MNCs and are working all over the Globe. The Highest Package Availed by Engineering (CSE) Student, Ms. Tanya Arora is 42 LPA for batch 2020 by Microsoft. Students are placed in WorkIndia at 35 LPA; CLOUDERA at 31 LPA; AMAZON at a package of 30 LPA. An average package ranges from 5-10 LPA. Every year visiting companies escalate in number and till date University has recorded the highest placements in North India. The last is about extra-curricular activities.
