Diploma in Elementary Education or D.El.Ed is a 2-year undergraduate diploma course that deals with various teaching skills, historical patterns, philosophical theories, and current classroom trends. The main aim of the Diploma in Elementary Education course is to develop every student's motivation, philosophy, and dedication to a career in elementary education, along with some other disciplines such as psychology and philosophy.
Eligibility Criteria for D.El.Ed
Admission for D.El.Ed in India requires the aspirants to complete their 10+2 with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from any recognized board of education. Also, along with the basic essential D.El.Ed eligibility criteria, students must have cleared the standard entrance examination with a decent mark from any institute to get admission for the course. The minimum age for applying for a D.El.Ed course is 17 years of age.
Admission Process for D.El.Ed
The admission process for the D.El.Ed courses in India can be done in two distinct ways. It can either be done from the college premises directly by approaching the college's admission office or university or online. Aspirants applying for the course must satisfy the D.El.Ed essential criteria are a combination of marks scored in their 10+2 classes and the entrance exams.
Apart from that, the universities or colleges will conduct personal interviews and group discussion rounds and a written test, which is not mandatory in some cases. After that, the students are shortlisted based on the cut-offs of their respective colleges.
Fees are apprx. range between Rs 5,000 to 1 lakhs.
