Yes, IIT Guwahati offers scholarships to meritorious students. These scholarships are divided into three categories susch as:

• Institute Scholarships
• Other Scholarships
• Assistantships

Any one of the IIT Guwahati scholarships can be availed by eligible students. IIT Guwahati offers three types of institute scholarships for its graduate/ postgraduate students.

According to media reports, a total of 712 students were placed till Dec 6 during IIT Guwahati placements 2024. Further, the highest international and domestic package offered during IIT Guwahati placements 2024 stood at INR 2.05 Crore per annum and INR 1.20 Crore per annum, respectively.

Important topics that candidates need to prepare for SEED 2026 exam are Visual Sensitivity and Judgement, Observational, Perceptual and Reasoning abilities, Problem Solving, Basic knowledge of Logic of Science and Mathematics, Art, Craft and Culture, Design and Environment.

Candidates seeking admission to the B.Des programme offered by the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) first needs to appear in the SEED 2024 written exam. Shortlisted candidates have to next appear in a PRPI round. The final merit list for admission to SID will be prepared based on the cumulative performance of the candidate in Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED), Portfolio Review, PRPI Task and Personal Interaction.

Note that if the candidate doesn’t participate in the PRPI round, he or she will not be considered for admission. The allotment of seats to the B.Des programme will be based on the merit rank of the candidate.

The syllabus for the design aptitude test is prescribed by the exam conducting authority, the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID). With this, the exam pattern is also decided by it. The candidate must note that SID reserves the right to make any changes it deems necessary to the exam syllabus. So, the candidate must consult the updated exam pattern when strating their exam preparation. Note that typically wholesale changes to the exam syllabus is not done.

For instance, the exam syllabus for UCEED 2024 has been changed, but some parts are kept as it is.

You need not worry. It's clearly written in JOSAA that:

"If you do not lock your choices, last saved choices will be locked automatically upon reaching the deadline for choice filling. The automatically locked choice list will be considered for allocating a seat during JoSAA."

Yes. Mock tests are an essential part of the Assam CEE preparation. By attempting the mock tests regularly, the students will be able to understand the pattern of the entrance examination. The syllabus for the SEED exam 2024 will be released online at sid.edu.in. It will contain the section-wise topics that candidates need to practice for the design entrance exam.

As per SEED syllabus, question paper will include questions from Visual Sensitivity and Judgement, Observational, Perceptual and Reasoning abilities, Problem Solving, Basic knowledge of Logic of Science and Mathematics, Art, Craft and Culture, Design and Environment.
