Hi,
Please remember MAT is usually conducted 4 times in a year in:
- February.
- May.
- September.
- December.
February and December MAT scores are the most important to get admission in good B-school, because by the time May and September MAT scores are declared the admission process in all the good B-schools are closed, during this time you may get admission only in those B-schools whose seats are not filled.
But please remember MAT scores are valid for one year, i.e MAT September 2013 score will be valid to September 2014.
So if you take MAT in September-2013, then these score would be valid for admission in 2014-16 intake also.

Every university probably have the same procedure for their admission process for each course.
If you are not interested in B.Tech then just leave it.
As you have not mentioned name of your college I should encourage you to contact the admission office of your college for details about their admission procedure.
